After a successful career in Public Office I joined the Lockwood Group in 2013. I am responsible along with the rest of the management team for the smooth running of the practices within the group. I have a no nonsense but kind and practical approach which ensures both clients and staff are treated equally and fairly. I firmly believe that it is essential to the success of the group to assist the staff to operate at their highest level with enthusiasm, dependability and effectiveness.

8 cats Molly, JoJo, Tilly, Loki, Maddie, Merlion, Moonshine and Krystal
Plus the odd cat to foster until their forever home comes along.

Joshua Smith

Position:

Business Development Manager

After graduating from Birmingham City University in July 2016 with a first class honours degree in Business and Finance I began looking for my first graduate job. The Lockwood Veterinary Group was the perfect fit for me as I have joined a great team of people where I can progress and develop myself while also helping to develop and have a positive effect on the company.

Dominic Worrall

I recently graduated from the University of Wolverhampton studying Business Management BA Hons achieving a second class first honours degree. I started looking for a graduate job in the area of management, I believe that the opportunity at Lockwood Veterinary Group is great for me as it gives me the opportunity to develop my skills as a manager and be part of a brilliant team. In my spare time I try to keep as active as possible by going to the gym and playing football.

Julie Woodcock

Clinical Manager

Surgical nursing and Radiography
My nursing career started in 1991 since then I have progressed along my chosen career path and am now Clinical Manager. I have been with the group since we first opened our doors back in 1994. I feel privileged to have been involved in the development of the practices and training of the nurses. I am so proud of the outstanding team that we have and the high level of care that we provide. In my spare time I like to keep fit and go for bike rides. My relaxation time is spent cuddled up with my furry friends watching TV.

Amanda Orton

As practice manager I see all aspects of the clinic and I find it all very rewarding, I have the pleasure of working with a fantastic team and I get to meet some amazing animals and their owners.

Being a receptionist the best parts of my job is getting loads of cuddles off all the pets that come through the door. I also enjoy building up bonds with the owners. Away from work I enjoy reading and listening to music.

I have been at Lockwoods since 2008. I adore my job, meeting new people, being the first point of call & helping them as much as I can. Due to my keen interest in the medicine dispensed, I have now been put in charge of the dispensary, which I enjoy. In my spare time I relax with my Fiancé Lee & 2 lovely step-children; Chloe and Sean. My main hobby is breeding Maine Coon cats.

Marie Linton

I began working in animal care in 2008 while studying Animal Management at Rodbaston College, Staffordshire. I joined the Lockwood Team in July 2014 as Blackheath's receptionist, and really enjoy the variety of the job. The best part of my job is meeting the clients and getting to know their pets. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, spending time with my family, and music.

I have a rescue cat called Sybil; and Ellie & Hutch, my two bunnies.

Josh Kelsey

I consider myself extremely privileged to be able to work within a profession that makes such a positive impact on people and their pets lives. Ive always been an animal lover and easily fall in love with every pet that comes through the door. I like to spend my spare time with family (especially my little nephew), play video games and travelling.

Chloe Lea

Client care, Administration & animal handling.
I enjoy meeting and greeting new & existing clients, being able to help them and make their visit to the vets a happy and comfortable one. As I have only just joined the veterinary field, I am currently studying animal management at Rodbaston College and I am hoping to continue to develop my skills in the animal world as my end goal is to be a qualified veterinary nurse.

Walking my dogs, watching football & music
I love animals and meeting people. Everyday it is nice to see a variety of different animals and being able to be a part of seeing the poorly ones get better. I love being part of a great team here at Burton Animal Hospital.
