Alan Brack BVSc MRCVS

Position:

Head Veterinary Surgeon

Interests:

Ultrasonography
I came south from the Wirral after qualifying from the University Of Liverpool. My first vet job was at my student practice following graduation in 2010 and I joined the Lockwood Group in 2011. Since 2016 I have run the Blackheath Branch. I particularly enjoy the challenges of working sole charge -this also allows me to know all Blackheath's pets and clients at a more personal level. Having been at the other end of the consult table I can understand how frustrating it is to have to explain what the problem was again- it's nice to see the same person twice! My interests include clinical pathology (the diagnosis of disease using tests), and ultrasound. I always approach any job I do with enthusiasm and I like to take a thorough approach. In my spare time I regularly attend military style fitness classes and have done a variety of races (some harder than others!!).

Pets:

I have an ever hungry (just like me) yellow bellied terrapin called Herbert, and four geriatric goldfish including a blind one-eyed fish called George.

Claire Bradley

Position:

Veterinary Surgeon

Interests:

Soft tissue surgery and ultrasound
I've been working as a small animal vet since I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London nearly 7 years ago. After working on the South coast, then taking time out to travel and work abroad, I decided to return to my home town and started working at Rosewood Animal Hospital in Wolverhampton in 2015. I love being able to use my skills and knowledge to help animals and their owners. I also love travelling and feel very lucky that I have been able to put my skills to use volunteering at veterinary charities all over the world.

Pets:

2 naughty bunnies, Rosemary and Kelvin

Kathryn Carder BVSc BSc MRCVS

Position:

Head Veterinary Surgeon

Interests:

Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, Exotics, Soft Tissue Surgery and Dermatology
I love spending my working day with animals; every day is different and rewarding in so many ways. I can't imagine getting out of bed for any other job. I love all aspects of veterinary work, but I am working towards a certificate in exotic medicine which I hope to complete by 2018. In my spare time I enjoy running and spending time with my beautiful daughter.

Pets:

Since having my daughter, the time and money commitments that are needed for a pet are not there, but luckily I get to have lots of cuddles with my patients on a daily basis.

Ben Leci BvetMed Bsc (Hons) MRCVS

This is not always an easy job, but the rewards of knowing that you have made an animal well make it all worthwhile, I could never imagine doing anything else. Outside of work I enjoy running, woodcarving and anything on water.
